7mgte swap into ‘93 2wd pickup

Hi everyone,

I am a new member that has been stalking for a while now.
However I’d like to do something totally new for me that I’ve been dreaming for few months now.

I love my ‘93 pickup and I’d like to make it into a very cool, powerful small pickup.
I make custom parts for cars as a profession, from CNC parts to tig welding and carbon fiber.
Everything suspension I can do. Metal Fab and custom parts/mounts etc I can do.
However my mechanical knowledge is limited. I’ve changed pistons, clutches etc, but nothin like a big ol’ swap.
Wiring pff… I know very little.
BUT I am very motivated and really want to make that build I have in mind.

my current engine is a 22re with W55 tranny and A01A axle.

would anyone would take me through a quick list of what is needed, what changes and what wiring kit or mods are needed to make this work? I know an ECU will be needed….that’s all lol.

Any link to similar builds that go in depth would also be a great help.

Thanks!

It's been awhile since I went onto this website but, it used to be refered to a lot back in the day http://www.supracharged.com/
there is also a engine swap section on this forum but most will be 2jz and 1uz swaps https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f159/

Easiest option would be 5VZ-FE with R150f behind it.
7M-GTE is not the best engine out there, Supra owners often swap it for 2JZ-GTE. If you badly want a straight six consider the latter, though I'm not sure if 6 pistons in a row would even fit our small engine bay. A 1UZ V8 is already a hassle, even though it's shorter.
