87 Yota. Can you identify this bracket?

Hey everyone,

Got an 87 pickup 2wd that was sold to me in pieces. I got the engine together and I need help identifying this bracket. Please let me know if you can identify it.

I think you might be right....it definitely isn't the bracket that holds the pump but looks like a supporting bracket that goes underneath it.

My 86 2WD has three separate brackets for the PS pump. The front bracket is a L-shape and has one bolt hole for the pump and one hole for the tensioner pulley bracket. The rear upper bracket is a L-shaped and has one bolt hole for the PS pump. The rear lower bracket is straight that has one bolt hole for the PS pump. None of them look like that one, but the front bracket does have a similar semicircle for the PS Pump center shaft housing to protrude to clear for the pulley.

Hey JoeS

Thanks! You are correct. I got an 86 with power steering but it's hard to see that bracket so I wasn't sure. I knew members here would know. Appreciate you taking the time to help.


Here is a little eye candy. .020 over bore. I cut no corners. Replaced all the vaccum lines, and OEM parts where possible. I even replaced aftermarket bolts lol.
