vapor canister alternative ????

I have an 1988 pickup with a 22RE motor and my vapor canister is shot. Is there a re-placement available from another motor that will work with a 22RE motor as I can't find a new one available and I do love my truck. Thanks

Try local salvage yards if they have any mid-80s Toyotas or go online to a salvage like this one. I bought a used steering gear that still working great 8 years going. It was used OEM Toyota at less than 1/3 price of the 3 didn't fit aftermarket units.

Used is good. They can be cleaned. See YouTube videos. My 86 truck uses the 77740-35180 simple canister- 2 top ports and 1 bottom. I saw a cleaning video for a Suzuki Samurai that used the exact same looking one.

Here's a site that has that as and new aftermarket one for only $422, but say back order. So could inquire them. https://trupar.com/p/toyota-forklift...ly-77740-35180 Maybe check other forklift suppliers.

Here's one for $99 https://www.hbercyz.com/index.php?ma...ucts_id=146595

Good luck

Mine was stuck and this worked for me. If the valve is stuck try this method.
