New noise. Sounds like it's coming from the transfer case. (audio)
1999 4Runner Limited
This was recorded with it in the shop, chocked, one rear wheel up, idling in drive. 2WD mode.
Its frequency increases with speed, not with RPM. The frequency doesn't seem to match wheel rotation or driveshaft rotation.
Any thoughts?
