Bleeding with emergency brake engaged

I had to delete my antilock brake unit. Now, I have to bleed the rear system without releasing the brake because it will drive air backwards into the mc making it necessary to bleed the front brakes also. Is that good logic?
Is there any problem potential other than overflow in the mc after I finish bleeding the rear and release the brake?
