(1986 pickup) Hubs unlocked, but truck feels sluggish

Recently locked my front hubs to drive through snow, and forgot to unlock them after driving on the highway. When I arrived at my work, my truck did get stuck in 4x4 when I pulled into parking lot, but i reversed and drove forward and was able to get back into 2wd. I recently had the front brakes, axles, and boots replaced 2 months ago. Now, after driving on my commute with my hubs unlocked, my car feels a bit more sluggish. Like it has to work harder to get up to speed. I'm curious as to what this could be? I don't think one drive could have ruined my axles or anything, anyone else experience this sluggishness or drag feeling?

Could my truck still be locked up, even though the hubs are Free?

Jack the truck up and see if the wheels spin free.

I jacked the truck up, and my wheels spin freely. So they’re unlocked. However my truck just feels sluggish up front. Also has a rough idle when I start it, could spark plugs have anything to do with this?

Spark plugs, fuel pressure, many other things. Start with recommended preventive maintenance procedure.
