94 pickup 4wd v6

Hi, I have a 94 Toyota pickup 4wd with the 3vze. It was running fine got up one morning it was about 32 degrees outside and it wouldn't idle. It will start and run if you give it gas just won't idle. It also runs rough when cold but better when hot. I still drive it around the farm but if I let off gas or stop it goes dead. I've checked codes to best of my knowledge and it only gives code 52. Can anyone help me?

I'd start by fixing the engine code...

Code 52 is a missing knock sensor signal (why do people post just the two-digit code? Do they not know what it means? Do they think that everyone reading their posts have memorized all 19+ codes?) While this will substantially retard the timing, the cluster of symptoms described by OP can be caused by approximately 1,274,812 different things. If it were me, I'd start by checking the base timing. Replacing the plugs and wires wouldn't hurt either. Checking compression (while you've got the plugs out) is easy and will point up some basic problems.
