getting some body work done around the back bed

I have a 87 4wd long bed single cab. It has rust along the side panels where the deck joins. Some areas of the deck. Otherwise a sound truck. I live in Roanoke. I have been quoted 15 to 20 thousand for a panel/bed refresh which yes does include paint. Its a high end shop, however places are hard to find to do the work. I live just outside of Roanoke Virginia. Is there a good small shop/home guy who would work with me to be able to do this work at a reasonable price?. I am able to do prep work and help out. I am 71 and would like to keep this truck to pass on to family. Thanks. Phone # can be given out for a genuine reply.

Thanks for reply. Unable to load the fibreglass links. I would like to repair what I have so that it is still metal. Hopefully a Roanoke guy will be able to work through this.

I'm located in NC and the place I recommend restoration bodywork is TJ Auto Inc (about 3.5-4 hours from Roanoke. I do my own bodywork with an older guy that has a good amount of experience but we got a '79 blazer and a '57 bel air we need to get done.

Also there was a guy on another forum that was actually able to buy NOS bedsides from the toyota dealership within the past year. He said one came from California and one came from somewhere else in the world. Apparently shipping was pretty expensive but if you can bring NOS bedside to an autobody shop that would save you a TON in labor. Worth calling a couple dealerships. (Call a couple incase one or two don't want to deal with the hassle trying to locate any)
