When I start my1987 22r pickup without pressing the accelerator my truck works up to sound like I’m going 80 down the highway and proceeds to rev higher and higher until I take the key out and I have checked the throttle cable and just had a carb replacement please help

 

So lets troubleshoot.
have you started it and let it idle high then jiggled the accelerator cable to see if its sticking?
