I am rebuilding a 3RZ with a 2TR block which is 99% the same block. All the "business" parts are the same. However, the knock sensor for the 97 3RZ and the knock sensor for my 2007 2TR block are different. The 97' 3RZ sensor threads into the block and the 07' 2TR sensor bolts on. Images of each below.

Anyone with experience know if the 3RZ computer will accept the 2TR knock signal?

If not, I suppose I could just re-tap one of 2TR block holes for the 3RZ knock sensor?
