Howdy y’all, new to the group. Here’s some pics of my 85 Pickup. Been having some issues with it misfiring so I decided to dig around where I though might have been a vacuum leak, and discovered a few things I’m not quite sure about. Let me know what y’all think! Can somebody clue me in on what this piece is, with the two vacuum lines running of if it? Thanks! This vacuum plunger deal didn’t have a vacuum line hooked up to it, and the plunger is all broken. What does this do? I found this random plug, couldn’t find what it plugs into???
I tried to find that plunger deal in FSM and did but wasn't able to get you a name . I have the FSM on my phone. It's a little bit of pain to work with that way. It's got something to do with slowing the throttle plate when you suddenly let off. Later model throttle bodys go to a vacuum hose I think.

that other electrical plug you asked about goes to a vacuum switching valve on top of the valve cover. I can't remember the name there ether . It's got to get in that FSM too. Maybe even a Hanes manual. I'll have to do some searching for it.

Dash pot, and it has a hose connected to a filter not a vacuum source.
The loose connector is most likely the ACV, AC idle up VSV which are not connected on some builds and just wire tied to itself and tucked under the intake.
Don't guess test! Put your multimeter on continuity test mode and probe between pin2 on that plug (that's the long one away from the clip) and pin 18 on the wide plug of the ECU (connector W pin 18).
Of all of these the one that might cause a big issue is the BVSV (switching valve for the egr) missing its filter and cap which could gum up the valve and make it leak or stick then the egr doesn't open and close when it should.

The AC idle up being disconnect is a non-issue you don't have the ports on the valve for the AC bypass.
The dash pot sticking could give some issues when shifting it's job is to keep the throttle plate from snapping closed and causing a super rich condition.
The bvsv works with the egr modulator and egr valve, getting exhaust into the intake stream when it's not expected by the ECU is going to dump all the fuel into the exhaust if the ratio of fuel oxygen and recirc are not in the acceptable range.
