89 Toyota picup cluster

I have an 89 Toyota pickup V6 3.0 4WD auto.
My cluster only has temp, speedo, and fuel.
The speedo is broke and the needle is broken off, and my fuel gauge is wonky.
Will a 4runner cluster swap in my pickup so that I have
tach, temp, oil, fuel, voltage, and speedo?

Also, my auto shifter is about gone, can I also swap to a 4runner
auto shifter?
Anyone done either of these before with success?
Thanks!

nice truck

the 4runner stuff should work if the dashboard looks the same

..might have to add wiring for the extra gauges, but I doubt it, since the SR5 trucks had the extra gauges too ...

Toyota probably used the same wiring harness for all of the Truck/4Runner models and just plugged in what was used and let the connectors dangle empty on lesser equipped trucks...at least that's how most other manufacturers do it nowadays

ETA: I always thought about swapping the nose off of a mid '90's 4Runner onto my PU, as well as some of the interior goodies

There is a thread that goes very in depth about the cluster swap, and others describing to put LED lights in it (currently doing this to mine). Try searching “SR5 Cluster Swap” I can’t remember the name of it but it will be one of the first posts that come up.

If you do this swap you will need to change the oil pressure sensor to a sender, and chances are your tac will not be prewired so that will need to be fixed.

If you don’t change the oil pressure sensor out you will ruin the gauge in the cluster almost instantly.

As for your fuel gauge being wonky, chances are it’s your fuel sending unit starting to go out. depending on what “wonky” means.

Thanks. I bought a new oil pressure sending unit for a gauge. I don’t know if my tach will work yet or not. I’m hoping that it goes well. My fuel gauge being wonky, I mean I fill my tank and it rides on full tank for a few days and then drops to 3/4, and then on E all in one day. I go fill it up and it only needs about 8 to 10 gallons.
