87 Land Cruiser

Hi All,
I just had one of my neighbors stop by and ask me if I was interested in a 87 Land Cruiser FJ 60. Body seems to be in great condition, cal cruiser no rust but no engine. Anybody want to tell me what it's worth? Just a ball park figure, everything else seems to be original.
Thanks
Hump
Mike

I really don't know what those Land Cruisers are worth without an engine, but they seem to be pretty valuable, even in rough shape.

Try the 60-Series wagons section over at IH8MUD. They know Land Cruisers very well, and can probably give you a better idea of the value.

Post some pictures too, if you have them.

A good looking wagon. A bargan at twice the price, anywhere in the country.

Many of these Crusiers are refitted with small block Chevy engines.

Go for it, but...

I personally wouldn't do a Chevy engine swap.

I feel that installing a Chevy engine completely defeats the purpose of owning a Land Cruiser in the first place. If you are going to do that, just buy a Suburban and be done with it.

There is truth to this, but Toyota F series engines are not so easy to lay hands on.

I expect that is why that Cruiser has no engine in it now.
