3vz PS pump - goner?!

Rebuilding the motor, ready to put it back together and not looking to spend a lot more on this project. I couldn't get the PS pulley off without badly damaging the pulley so I know I'm in for a new one (why are pulleys so expensive?!). Anyway, looking at the pump itself and the reservoir, this looks pretty bad. Any hope of rebuilding or just spend the 100 on a new setup?

Rebuild what? A lump of grease? Where's the power steering pump?

All I can see is something covered in grease. Maybe others can tell if your pump is worth rebuilding from that, but from your pictures I can't see much.

I'm going to guess that all you need is a set of new seals, though you can't tell for sure until you can look at the vanes inside. (Though the rebuild kits aren't cheap. https://www.partsgeek.com/catalog/19...epair_kit.html ) But at the risk of sounding dismissive, if you're so tired of this project that you don't even wipe off the grease before taking the pictures and posting, maybe getting an already-rebuilt unit is the smart way to go.

Thanks for the link and suggestion. I left the grease as an indication of the condition but if it's not indicative of anything than disregard. The rebuild kit is certainly cheaper than a rebuilt or new. I'll clean it up and open it to see what's going on.

Additionally is was working just fine prior to pulling so further confirming some bad seals/rings!

I'm rebuilding my 3vz as well and have a bunch of parts from the donor, including ps pump and pulley. DM me if you're interested we can make a deal. The pump is used but was working before disassembly, pulley is in good condition.
