Exclamation ISO 22re guru reseal tips and tricks

Currently in the midst of resealing my 22re. Right now I have it down to the block ready to go back together. I bought a LCEngineering engine gasket kit and RTV I would like to sample the knowledge of the community and see the tips to get everything cleaned, back together smoothly and fluid tight. Do not spare any tip no matter how common sensical and simple!

One of the most important tips I can give is to use oem toyota gaskets/seals and toyota fipg where the fsm calls for it. I get the oem gasket kits from 22reperformance.com and have never had issues when using oem gaskets. They are all I will use if it's my engine or someone else's.
I suggest replacing any rusty/suspect bolts (again oem). I like LCE's intake stud kit. It makes things easy and there are usually at least a couple intake bolts that need replacing anyway.

Edit: Another thing, I replace the rubber half moon gaskets on the head with aluminum half moons. These come in the kit I mentioned. Much better than the rubber ones
