94 pick up clutch replacement
Looking for some advice on replacing my clutch on my 94 pickup 6cyl. I have read some people like the Marlin clutch kit. Its stock and have had it since new. Love it and it is my daily driver. Its got 190k. Also tips on installing please.

I don't have any info regarding the clutch, but I highly recommend using a Transmission Jack when dropping the transmission. I have done it with one and without one, much easier using the tranny jack. Take your time and pay attention to the details. Good luck!

As recommended above; if you’re stock I’d just go with a normal clutch kit for it. I usually go Luk or Aisin. Only reason to go to a Marlin is if you’re doing hard off roading or are dual cased.
Best of luck!

Seems like dual cases pretty much eliminate the reason to go with a heavy duty clutch. With the extremely low crawl ratio of a dual case, there is almost no stress on the clutch. Not as much torque applied to the clutch, and not nearly as much slipping to crawl slowly over difficult obstacles.

I was going with Aisin but saw they use plastic spring keepers instead of the metal ones like on the stock clutch. I went with Exedy which is also a Japanese made Toyota OEM manufcturer, same as Aisin. I've seen both in Yotas older than 1995. As for Marlin, go with them if you're a rock crawler.
