I have a solid drivetrain from a '99 4runner that was rolled that I'd like to put into a '95 that I have as well. The '99 was the wifes daily and the '95 was supposed to be a body donor for her crawler but it seems like we're going to turn that into her new daily with the '99 drivetrain.

I need to make the 3.4 R150 have a passenger side drop transfer case to accommodate the front diff of the '95. Will a VF1a transfer case from a 3vze r150 bolt right up to the back of the 5vze R150, or am i going to need to get an adapter plate and run a gear drive case? I know i could just get a 3vze R150 trans and tcase, but this transmission was recently rebuilt and has less than 3000km on it, and would much rather use that.
