302 v8 build factory tach hookup.

I have a 90 pickup that I put a built 302 in. I put a cdi box in it and ran the tach wire from the cdi box to the factory toyota tach but nothing happened. How can I get the tach to work?

What ignition box are you using? I get my tach output from the 6AL box.
Try getting your signal from your coil positive.

I got it figured out. The voltage from the cdi box is not enough volts for the Toyota tach it runs off higher voltage.
