1993 Toyota t100. The speedometer mileage gauge stopped working
Hi My first toyota
ive read on the net a bit but none were specific to Toyota t100 and I’m not sure exactly if it applies
im a Honda gear head so I can figure it iut
i just need to know what I’m needing to do
1993 Toyota t100.
Auto rwd
speedometer stopped working
sometimes it’ll randomly work the. Shut off
for a civic you just swap out a cluster with this sorta thing
any inputs?
i don’t wanna go buy a cluster to see it not the problem as these clusters r a lot more expensive than a civic cluster lol

Does it use a cable? (Don't really know anything about the T100s) or is it electronic? With a cable I'd follow it to the back of the transmission and see if the cable or gear is damaged. Electronic I'd say it could be a wheel speed sensor (If that's what it uses. {BMW guy here)} Or if the sensor is on the back of the trans.

As rattlecanpaint suggests, you first need to figure out if you have the electronic or cable drive. If electronic, "works some of the time" is likely to be a problem with the sender. The senders are spendy, and there are about 3 different kinds. If you want to replace one, pull it out first and compare it to what's offered by, say, RockAuto, with the photos.
Of course, you'd prefer to test it before replacing it. Here's the manual: http://www.teamtoyota4x4.org/archivi...e/combinat.pdf
Replacing the combination meter ("cluster") is the last thing I would try.
