Hey all, I just finished putting on a new head gasket, water pump, oil pump and timing chain on my 1979 20r. I am having some trouble getting the engine timed correctly, I have tried everything and the distributor i believe is in the right place. It doesnt want to idle on its own, the only way to get it to run is to bring it to about 1700 rpm and then it runs like a top but anything lower and it gets choppy. I was wondering if I did something wrong while reassembling it. I made sure that the timing chain was on the gears correctly.
