1980 pickup cab/bed into 1994 chassis and running gear?
I've got a 94 pickup that I flipped a couple years ago then later blew the engine, I've got another engine but the cab is beat up and the bed was trashed so I built a flat bed. I ended up buying s 1980 with a solid body but the frame is rusted out up front and the rear half was cut off and another welded on, not anything I wanna hit road or trails on. My question is will the 80 cab/bed go on the 94 chassis? I've pulled some quick measurements, and understand that I'll have to use all the electrical from the 94 s Pass door carries the only dent Both fenders were crushed but I beat them out and are still rough
o my 22re will work, but does anyone know of anything that will make this a nightmare? Also I'm thinking of using the straight axle from the 80
Cool thanks, however this project got held up for several reasons, but I've got an 82 and 4.3tbi 700r4 combo with a 21 spline tc that I just got the AA for today, which would also go in the build forum you mentioned, or use this one for swaps? Just tryna get it right this time
Well as I stated earlier the body swap took a back seat to my 82 project, which is now in the final, work the bugs out, stage, unfortunately the camera on my galaxy took a crap so I've got very limited pics, not nearly enough for an actual build thread, so I'll just post what I've got here, and maybe I'll get around to buying a new phone, or a new camera for this one, before I get rolling on the original project for this thread I started with a cab, frame, and locked up rear sxle. That's actually the rear axle I'm using now up front (easier to move around with my loader when the front wheels don't turn) Pretty much where I'm at now, swapped I'm the 4.3tbi, 700r4 coupled to a Toyota t-case, 58" ranger springs in rear, and RUF. The gas can wouldn't stay put on the roof so I had to move it to the passenger seat until i decide what type fuel tank set-up I'm gonna go with. I got a pair of scat seats lined up,
