Who do you trust for part numbers

Bought an 85 truck and am working on accumulating parts, like a front main seal.

Different sources, yotashop, amazon, toyotapartsdeal, etc., are giving different part numbers for the front main seal. I do know the difference between the T type premium and the normal one.

I like to be able to accumulate my part numbers and then just order by numbers when I am ready. But, with different part numbers and them showing as correct depending on the site, it makes it hard.

Example: Front seal
yotatech: 90311-45069
yotatech: 90311-45002
Toyotapartsdeal: 90311-45014 Supersession(s): 90311-45014; 9031145006; 9031145011

I'm sure I'm confusing the situation by not taking something into account.

So, who do you trust for part #'s.

You can search the correct parts for your specific frame number here: :https://toyota-usa.epc-data.com/

Tried that one before but it doesn't recognize my VIN or my frame. I got another site to recognize the VIN.

It's an RN60s frame.

Try calling your local Toyota dealer with your VIN. They should be able to tell you which parts are applicable to your particular Truck.

sounds like a plan. Same as Subaru and chevy and volvo penta. A dealer and a vin gets you the right number.

Side question, does toyota use the same part with many different part numbers. For instance, on the front main seal, would it be likely that all the front seals for a 22re are the same actual seal, even with different part numbers? Except the short seal of cours, which moves the location of the sealing ring.

With this SKF Master seal list, you can find the SKF number that crosses to any Toyota seal number. Then, you might find any other manufacturers number by cross reference. There is a similar list for bearings: :http://www.absbearings.com/uploads/1...cat-457012.pdf
