Used to have an 85 4runner. Sold it a while back. Regretted it on and off . Had my eye out for.another 85. Got a craigslist alert and boom, it's an 85 pickup with a 5 speed. Single cab short bed 4x . Looks pretty straight. $1600

Text owner. Doesn't run. Needs a fuel pump, front seal, brakes, blinker switch. Getting ready to head out so I go take a look. Tires look decent, body decent. Needs new windshield.

Got it for $1300. Plan to work on it with my son. Perhaps it'll become his when he starts to drive. Figured I could turn it and get out of it if I needed to. Still looking for another one in an extra cab. 4x4 for me. Or a 4 runner. Price has to be right.

This one will stay pretty basic. Maybe some shackles, better brakes, etc. Plan is to get it running to see how the engine i . Then it'll likely get parked for a bit as I work on projects.

 

Hard to go wrong at $1,300. Looks like a good score.

 

That was my thought. Turned out to be an SR5 with power windows and CC.

There's an 84 extended cab locally that I could.probably get for a similar price. I've been kicking it around, but really prefer efi.
