90 4Runner throttlebody 3VZE
I just finished installing a rebuilt engine in this runner, and as I’m reconnecting everything I noticed the throttle body electrical connector was taped up closed. I took the tape off and found a resistor across two of the four terminals. Why would the po do that? I can’t find any info on how to do that let alone why? Anyone have any ideas?

Would you like us to guess?
Here's the manual for the TPS, which is what I guess you're talking about. http://web.archive.org/web/201108151...93throttle.pdf
A few photos might help you.
