I have an 88 SR5 xtra cab pickup with torn up front seats. I picked up some 2nd gen 4runner seats to swap in, and they're not fitting.

In every thread I've read regarding this subject, people are saying 3 of the 4 holes line up. Only the 2 outer holes on the driver side seem to line up. (The two mounts closest to the door)

Do I need to swap the seat rails?

 

Definitely can't swap the seat rails. Seats in mine have the upper back part welded to the lower part of the frame.

 

if I remember correctly, one side had 3 holes line up and one side only had 2 line up when I did that swap
