3VZE Front pulley/ballancer

I need a new front ballancer for my ‘95 4Runner, but it seems to be a discontinued part. Does anyone have a source for this or know of where I can find one?

yup, that's the one. The places that I normally order my parts through showed that it was discontinued, but this is a good find.
Thanks a bunch!

just got a reply from Lakeland Toyota, seems that they now realize that the balancer is discontinued.

That's always a risk, even with a good dealer (I've had good luck with Lakeland).

If you put that part number, all by its lonesome, into Google, you'll get plenty of hits. Some of those hits appear to be selling after-market parts, which means that whether or not they have the part won't depend on Toyota's current production.

Let us know what you find.

Balancer

There is a company in Redding Ca. called Damper Dudes.
If you have your old one, they can replace the elastomeric that is sandwiched between the two rings.
I used them about 15 years ago for a ford V8 damper. It looked good as new when I got it back.
I don't know if they are still around.
I have a spare, but it is rusty, and missing one of the small ears by the pulley bolt holes.
You can have it for $35.00. $1.00 for the item, and $34.00 to get it off the crank of the engine.
Good luck.

Art.

I appreciate all the good advice. Mine has been loose on the crank and the inside is damaged. I found a place called Japanese Truck Dismantling that was selling a new aftermarket ballancer. Received it today and it looks good. Just hope it compares to oe.
