Looking to buy a 1980 Sunrader RV based on the Toyota HiLux. But it has no headrests up front, and I’m a big fan of my neck. Are there any later model seats that will bolt right in, or will anything swapped in require modifications?
New here and the picture attack function isnt working on mobile, or would attach.
Do a search on the forum for seat swaps, there are a LOT of threads. I put seats out of a 90's Honda/Acura in my 78 Chinook.
The conventional wisdom is that you'll need to either fabricate some really simple brackets, or drill another couple holes in the floor to get them to fit.
I've only done this in one vehicle and it was the 78, but with that one and the seats I found, I was able to swap the seat rails. I put the Toyota rails on the Honda seats, so everything still lined up to the holes in the floor. That way, I had to drill a hole in each rail to get it to fit the seats, but that saved me from having to drill the truck floor.
