And Now My '94 is Worth a Little Less

Saturday night, November 24 some fool bumped into my truck, which was parked on the street. Now I need a new tail light housing. Bumper was pushed in a bit. Quarter panel was damaged plus a little more. Sheesh. Neighbor's video cam caught the incident at 10:30pm. 2012-2017 Ford Fusion most likely.

Yeah I wasn't too thrilled to come home and see that my truck was damaged. Probably some idiot drunk driver. Dude didn't even stop. He just hit my truck and kept on driving along like nothing happened.

I would report it if I thought something might come of it. However, I don't think the cops want to write-up another report and I'm pretty certain the perpetrator will not be found. Therefore it would all just be a waste of my time and the cop's time.

Do report it. Even if the police are not actively searching for the perpetrator, just getting the statistics can help address crime in your area. How much does it cost you to report it?

On to your vehicle. If you've gotten through 24 years without any parking incidents, consider yourself lucky. Also, you're lucky that after-market taillights are not difficult to find. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Black-Taill...k/230655577743 I didn't order from this particular seller (mine is garaged, and I had to replace a taillight only once a few years ago), so feel free to "look" around.

Good luck!

I have had fairly good luck with Depo brand lights on various toyotas over the years.
New is way better than using some old one that is faded and will crack
