I've been looking but cannot find any guides to replace the alternator on a 1988 Runner with the 3VZ-E. Most diagrams and videos are for the 22r or 22re.

It looks fairly simple, but I'm wondering if you have to remove the distributor cap to get good access to the alt. If anyone has any tips on this, or a guide or video to share, I would greatly appreciate it!
