Torque converter or bad solenoid?

Torque converter or bad solenoid?
Alright guys I just bought a 86 pickup automatic because I blew the motor in my standard so I'm in the process of re-building it. Any way my auto has been driving great however when driving home today my truck was reving in and out of OD on the highway and the OD finally quite working so I started clicking it on the shifter to get it to work because I was losing power, after awhile of that it also stopped working. When coming off the highway I stopped at a light and during take off I had NO POWER! The truck shifts from 1st 2nd 3rd all in a matter of seconds and when I hit the OD button it works momentarily than stops working. Any ideas? I pulled all 3 solenoids and was going to replace them but fear it may be the torque converter? I should also note the trans has been shifting real hard every now and again

When was the last time you inspected the fluid level and quality on this (used?) transmission?
Performed the manual shift tests?
Compared shift points with the chart?
Put a voltage meter on the ECT diagnostics wire and read exactly which gear the controller is demanding the trans to?
Torque converter stall test?
Done any recent work that might of tampered with the line pressure up cable attached to the throttle linkage?

Pretty sure I've posted a copy of the torque converter test, which you'll find either in its own thread or the thread for #36522, and the accompanying photo albums (You still need a service manual!)
You'll find details of both tests in the FSM, as well as fluid quality data.
A week may of been long enough to leak to cause issues, check it again (I'd of sad that if you said anything but "just now", we're talking five minutes of your time vs $$ and you'll want to be sure)
