Clutch hydraulic hose replacement

I have a 1986 22rte 4x4 pickup. I have swelling in my clutch hydraulic hose, the rubber one or whatever. My question is, do I bleed the whole system dry to replace it and fill and re bleed, or do I just pop it out and bleed out the air. I can't find any info on this particular question. Thanks.

I just did my slave and did the hose while I had things apart. Once I had the new slave and hose in I used a syringe to fill the hose and slave as much as possible. Then just keep doing the normal bleed procedure.

Most times I do all 3 parts and just bleed normally .

I use a Vacuum Bleeder.

some people say gravity works well as long as you don`t run the master cylinder dry

One more question, for the rubber hose, do I disconnect the top or bottom first? The Slave cylinder was already replaced.

Doesn't really matter which you disconnect first. But connect the new one bottom first, then fill with a syringe and connect the top.
