1994 standard 2 wheel drive toyota...(187,700 miles)
I live in southern Arizona and our heat is really picking up lately. I was heading up a hill yesterday and the engine died...it will turn over ...but will not run.
I jumped the diagnostic E1/TE2 ports and the CEL just flashes rapidly...no pauses or stops...and continuously. I pulled the EFI fuse to reset and got the same thing (does this
indicate no codes or maybe a bad ground?) I then connected the FP/+B to check my fuel pump...I can hear the pump at the fuel tank...so, I guess its ok. Still no start.
SO...what now?...I have perused the forums and the internet, to no avail...and not sure what I should do next. Are there more diagnostic port testings I can do?

4 cyl, or 6cyl engine??? Maybe the timing belt or chain let go??

 

I actually got it figured out. I began checking spark after I verified fuel flowing. The spark on all 4 (4 cylinder) was not existent. I then checked my distributor ...upon removal of the cap...voila...I found my problem. (see photo)
I found a used one on Ebay and have it being shipped pronto.
