Was always under the impression that little more advance was best for my 22re.., well last weekend went back down to 5 degree (from 8), can't believe the improvement: runs way smoother, more power & less downshift climbing hills, quieter, pinging is gone, mpg went up big time (from 300 miles/ tank to 350, Gps checked). Something else I can't explain is no more pressure sound when I open the gas cap even after a long freeway run??
