Hello,

I have a 1986 pickup, 4 cylinder, 4 wheel drive, and it started making a new noise today. In 3rd and 4th gear, at around ~2500rpm, there is a light rattling sound, almost like a small bell, and it sounds like its coming from my engine bay (not sure though). When it's out of gear, it doesent make that sound at any rpm.

Thoughts?

As it turns out, it was just the timing. The valves had recently been adjusted, and the timing was not.
