Would sliders for a '95 Tacoma fit a '92 pickup?
I've been scoring the internet for days trying to find a slider/step combo in the style I want to fit my '92 extended cab pickup. Ran across these today, which is what i'm looking for, but they're listed to fit '95-'04 Tacoma.
Of course this is a bolt on kit so I'd be surprised if the bolt pattern were the same, but what if I were to weld them? Would these fit between the wheels?
I contacted N-Fab directly and they said they have not test fit onto the older model trucks so "could not confirm". Again, I would be okay welding them so long as they weren't too long.

I don't think so, but only because of frame shape. If you can cut and weld, you can make anything fit.
Check out 4xInnovations... almost 1/2 the cost, and listed for everything.

I just found out those step sliders bolt to the chassis not the frame, so that's a big NOPE.
I like the 4xInnovations sliders but in all honestly I wont be wheeling this truck to justify a full-on slider package. Mostly need a step to climb into this monster but I like the advantage of a full length bar to access the bed as well.
The other option is to go with the weld-on sliders and angle them down, although that seems a bit cheesy.

To my knowledge your cheapest option is to buy the Trail Gear sliders and weld them on. Cheaper than making them from scratch if going with a standard 2-row tube-style slider.
Get actual rock sliders instead of nerf bars - if even just to protect from shopping carts or possible t-bone accident.

Here I thought I was going to learn something new !
If they are bolt on you just need to drill the holes in the correct spot
Not sure if the distance from the outside of the frame to the outside of the Rocker Panel is the same between the two vehicles
