What's the easiest way to eliminate a saggy rear end?

Hello again,

I've been reading through lots of threads tackling similar issues and, being a newbie, I still haven't concluded what the simplest solution is.

The rear end on my 95 4runner sits a few inches lower than the front, and with weight can sag much lower. It seems like the only way to eliminate this problem is to get new shocks (and springs I assume?), but wouldn't replacing all four shocks with something a bit higher (looking at KYB monomax) lift both the front and back evenly? Or would I have the ability to "lower" the front somehow when installing these parts?

Don t know much about suspension, and I would prefer not to buy more parts than I need to get my back suspension a bit higher, and stiffer. I can't imagine it's as simple as just buying some stiffer springs.

Thanks again!

No ZUK mod possible on 2nd gen runners. They have coil springs, not leafs.

Ordinary shocks will not raise ride height.

Coil spring spacers, or different coils will do it.

Air bags, or maybe air pressurised shocks would give some ride height adjustment, but they often will 'let you down' when you need them most.

No extra charge for the bad pun.

Meaning the simplest would to replace bad springs with good ones, preferably OEM.
Replacing with pre-owned springs may not be the cheapest unless you can predict how those springs would perform.

coils are cheap.. get you a brand new set of any preferred brand for 150 bucks usually. the old faithful OME is always a good solid choice. ive had good luck with the toytec branded coils.

Thank you all for the feedback (and millball for the punintentional humor)!!

Sounds like springs are the first thing I should check.

Or the squat rack.
