First gen tach not working

Im wondering if its worth trying to fix a broken tach or just look for a replacement. I like the cluster and dont want to change it all. Has anyone rebuilt a tach or should it even be attempted seems like theres a lot of small parts not sure if id ever get it back together. If nothing else does anyone have a known working one theyd be willing to part with?

Like in the thread that Lon posted, check the connections to make sure the signal from the igniter is getting to the tachometer. I would make sure the tachometer was actually broken before attempting repair or replacement. You may have other problems.

Yep, tach is electrical more than mechanical, so do that trouble-shooting first.
