Detroit locker?

What do i have here? Is this a detroit locker? It has 4:10 gears

Looks an awful lot like a normal v6 rear to me. Do the shafts always spin in the same direction? It's hard to tell from the pic but it looks like it could maybe have a lunchbox in it.

Stock v-6 limited slip with 4.88 gears next to my 5.29 zip locker, PS, if anyone has stock 4.88 gears you need a whole 3rd member to do this swap, they don't fit!!

Is your other one a 4cylinder rear? If so that is why. 4cylinders have a more conventional 2 pinion carrier. The v6s have a 4 pinion carrier that is a bit less common in the world of differentials

Post a picture of your other if you got one. I'm sure somebody can identify it

That's definitely a v6 carrier. My '80 had one when I got it, and I had ordered a 4 cylinder lunchbox locker, so I had to send it back and order the V6 unit.
