22RE crank pulley

Anyone got a 22RE crank pulley/harmonic balancer sitting around? If you’d be so kind as to measure its diameter. Google isn’t returning much help.

Installed new CS130 alternator, had to go get a longer belt. It isn’t charging 14.2 at idea but bump RPMs up and it does. I’m thinking larger pulley isn’t spinning alt fast enough at idle. Want to do some math to confirm my thoughts.

Fwiw

The charging voltage spec is for off idle, somewhere between 1200-1700 from memory

Seems every working alt i’ve Checked is 13.8 to 14.20 at idle. Of course my 20yo voltmeter May not be the most accurate but i’m getting 12.30 at idle.

I just went and measured one I have on a motor. The AC and Power Steering pulleys are the same size and came in at 5 1/2 inches. The Alternator pulley is slightly larger by about a 1/4 inch on each side and from eye balling it I would say it is 6 inches in diameter from side to side. Alternator pulley sits behind the AC/PS pulley.

Thanks, gonna measure pulley on alt see what math says and swap.

New alt pulley is 3” so:

6/3=2; 2•800=1600 rpm on alt, not ideal charging.

Swapped out with old alternator pulley is 2.5” so:
6/2.5=2.4; 2.4•800=1,920 a bit low for 13.6-14.2 but better just turned idle up a little.

Will call Hurst to see what they say but thinking 2.125” or 2” is best.
