I've got a "whining noise" coming from the A/C clutch assemble on my '99 PreRunner. I was thinking of either replacing the bearing for $15 or the whole clutch assembly for $60. But I've read different opinions on whether it's even possible to remove the old clutch assembly without pulling the whole compressor. I was thinking I could get at if I removed the radiator. Has anyone done it? Another post suggested just putting in a new compressor so I'm open to suggestions.
