22re Knock Sensor pigtail????

hey guys, I've read a ton of forums and i'm still at a loss for my knock sensor connector on a 1990 22re 4runner 4x4.
I've contacted my local toyota dealership and they couldn't even track down a part number for me.
All i can find online are the 3.6 6cyl pigtails, but i need a connector for the 22re.
what was on there from PO was a red wire simply jammed in the sensor and electrical tape covering the rest of it.
This works sometimes, but it doesn't always make good contact and when it hits a bump i get a check engine light and a code 52 and the engine runs rough
until it makes a good connection again and then it's smooth again for awhile.
So i'm pretty confident the sensor is good, and the ecu is fine, its just the connector. I need a pigtail to wire into the existing single wire.
any help??

thanks
Jonathan
