V6 60k on rebuild. Replaced the MAF, cap and rotor. Will run good at idle but when I drive it dies snd I have to throw it in neutral and restart it. Sometimes it will act like it will die but go back to normal. Please anyone help. This is my sons car and before I take it in I'd like to try something cheaper.

 

Toyota components are almost always bullet-proof. Problems are cause by poor assembly, wiring, maintenance.

Leak in intake duct between MAF and intake manifold,
Loose connection to fuel system, loose connection to ignitor system.
Loose connection to battery / alternator.
Loose connection between injector and ECU (corroded/brittle crimp on injector wiring is a problem in 22REs')
