onboard air or winch?

Looks like I might have some extra cash in about a month to put into my truck. Leading candidates are onboard air (Quick Air 3 or the like w/ Roger Brown 4air system) or a winch.

Onboard air would get more use, but a winch would be more valuable if/when it was needed.

Thoughts?

Do any of your wheeling buddies have either? If they have a winch...I say go air. If they have air...I say winch. If they have neither...I say go winch for saftey

go for the winch! When when you go wheeling, take along one of those portable compressors which cost $15 as an emergency back up incase you find yourself in a sticky situation.... This what I would do.

Between those two? Air means lower tire pressures and less chance to get stuck. Winch means when you are stuck, you get out.

I say you can't go wrong with either.

A which definitely has the greater cool factor, but the air will definitely get more use, so is a better "investment".

Hmmmm....

Go for the winch. Mine saved my a$$ last week. Without it I would have probably wasted an entire afternoon shoveling and hi-lifting. Now my wife actually "likes" having a winch on our 4runner!

I would go for the winch. In my opinion, mine paid for itself the first time it pulled me out of a mess.
