134a conversion Toyota part #'s
I lost the thread where someone had posted all the toyota part #'s for the r134a conversion. It was a very complete and detailed list. If you can repost that list with the part #'s I would be extremely grateful. Thanks in advance

Toyota Technical Service Bulletin: A/C conversion from R12 to R134A

Here is the Technical Service Bulletin I saved from a thread a while back for when I add A/C to my truck.
I think it is what you are looking for.

The parts guy at my local toyota dealership said the adapters didn't exist and they bought those from NAPA. I will have to use this to convince him otherwise.
Thanks again.

The adapters probably did exist at one time, but the TSB was from 1998, so there is a good chance that they were discontinued a few years after the TSB was issued.
They probably don't even show up in Toyota's dealer computer system but I do not know for sure.

I just did this not long ago
Napa had nice "steel" adapters
They had both straight and right angle.
I got one of each just in case, and ended up using right angles for both
You may have the ports on the hose and have more room!
The steel ones, require you to remove the old R12 schrader core.
So you'll need a core remover tool.
There is a "kit" of screw on adapters that Pep Boys etc has that is way cheaper and cheesier.
In my case - I could not use the kit as there was no room at the compressor.
I gave the parts to someone else on Yotatech...

i didn't bother trying to track down "genuine" Toyota parts for my conversion. https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116...-r134a-284801/ There are three types of conversion adaptors, and as ewong points out the most common of the three require you to remove the schraeder core from the existing port. The tool to do this is a common tool used to remove cores from ordinary tire valves. ewong had to put his on the compressor; I was luckier and could put the adaptors on ports up near the evaporator.
Toyota specs "ND-8" oil, which I determined was the same as polyalkylene glycol (PAG 45).
You'll need a complete set of o-rings (I wouldn't cheap-out and replace only those on the compressor), but those sets are pretty standard and very inexpensive (I got mine from RockAuto).
