Strange noise

Wonder if any of you might know what this noise might be from. It does not happen at idle, just when the truck is warm I get this like bubbling or like a faint woodpecker sound...LOL sorry this is the best I can describe it....when I put it in park it goes away...You can hardely hear it but I want to know what it is...going on vacation soon and do not want to find out 1000 miles away...I can hear it in the cab and can not tell where it is coming from....both driving and sitting still.

You are not the only one experiencing this strange bubbling noise.

In fact, there was a thread about this not too long ago.

I will try to locate it for you.

Here it is:

Mine only happens when I put it into drive.....would the tranny or torque conveter give a sound like I discribed...I can't really say it sounds like bubbling...just strange. When I am at park it does not make any noise....tranny shift fine.
