I've reached the end of the internet
Here's the issue I'm having. 1980 RN47 L43 side shift trans. The shifter is so sloppy I have to hang out the passenger side for the top gears. I've looked at Marlin, 4x4 wire etc and can't find the bushing (s) I need. I have several newer 5spd trans but I want to keep this one in the truck. My FSM is for an 81 and doesn't cover the L43. Thanks in advance for any help.

I've had decent luck checking with machine shops for random bushings, and even having them made, or making my own when I had access to a lathe myself. The only issue is that you need dimensions, as far as length, inside diameter and outside diameter, as well as knowing what you want them made out of. I've been known to use aluminum and bronze and brass in place of nylons and hard rubbers.
