eye to eye rear shock 18 1/2"


I bought a 1987 4Runner and it has 32 inch x 11.5 tires and it seems to have good clearance but I think my rear shocks are shot and want to buy new ones l, however I don't know which ones to buy because I don't know if the truck is lifted or not. Is there a easy way to determine what or if I have a lift on it and determine what shocks to get for it?
