Engine Questions R22?

I finally got a battery and was able to start up my new to me 1st gen. It had a hiccup and died a couple times when i hit the gas after starting and immediately dying. Also there is a squeal after it warmed up a little. Any thoughts would be great.

Noise

hello. Sounds like an pulley bearing? Hard to tell from the video, the AC,power steering, I waterpump question?. If you have a automotive stethoscope. Or a cut off broom handle place it against your ear and the Area you think the noise is being generated from, other than that it sounds good!
Carry on! Tim.

And I hear a pretty significant Exhaust leak. Check donut gasket manifold to exhaust pipe. there's two of them they usually go bad.

Red face

First it is not a 22R it is a 22RTEC

Has this ever run since you bought it ??

Sounds like you have fuel delivery issues have you jumped FP to B+ on the check connector plug it should be on the left inner fender (I might be wrong without looking)

In any case in 86 it is a green and white/black wire.

Might be the AFM switch

Circuit opening relay

wire harness problems chewed wires

Solve one issue at a time or you will just frustrate yourself.

Once I get it running it idles smooth and sounds good, if I step on the pedal to fast it sounds like it wants to choke out.

pull the belts and run it for a spell. Thet will tell you if there is a bearing on one of the pulleys
I would rip that AC out of there if it's not working. At the very least disconnect the belt.
Sounds like an intake leak or AMF issue.
Check for codes
