Function of orange / black check valve on 3VZE manifold?

Can someone tell me the function of the Orange and black check valve that's mid vac line on the passenger side of the 3VZE manifold? The line is coming off of whatever's right next to the cold start injector.

I assume you want to know the function of the LINE, since you've already figured out that the black/orange thing is a check valve. It goes to the most aft-ward VSV on the apron, which controls the PAIR valve. http://web.archive.org/web/201311071...78pulsedse.pdf

The "whatever" is called the Air Filter (not very descriptive, but I don't make up these names). All three ports are the same; it's just filtered vacuum.

Oh, c'mon! I gave you a link to the manual, didn't you look at it?

Pulsed Air Injection Reed valve. Vacuum Switching Valve.
