Hard to start rebuilt 22re

Well I rebuilt my 94 22re..I had a machine shop do all the bottom end work and I just put everything else together..Other then what I think is my coolant temp gauge, everything is connected right and it's in time. I had to jump start it to get it going so I assumed it was my battery. I bought a new one and put it in and it's still hard to start..it turns over and I have to give it some gas everytime I try to start it..I'm getting fuel and assume its enough because it come out pretty plentyful out the fuel line by cold start..help

Just what are you trying to say ??

You have to crank the engine a long time several times before it will start ??

As this is fuel injected the only fuel is coming from the injectors and stepping on the throttle pedal just opens the throttle body allowing more air in

You are keeping the battery charged with a charger ??

Sounds almost like the cold start injector is not working like it should.

All your tune up parts are new ??

It does start and run or it has not started yet ??

Unless you made a typo and meant to say 22R the carburetor engine
